Stefan Müller has served as Head of the Directorate-General "Provision for the Future – Basic Research and Research for Sustainable Development" at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) since January 2023. Prior to this, he was a member of the Hesse Land Parliament for several years, holding key roles including Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of the Free Democratic Party (FDP). Stefan Müller’s professional experience also includes positions within the Darmstadt District Administration, the Ministry of the Interior of Land Hesse, and the Bank for Public Infrastructure, where he focused on legal, policy, and administrative matters. He studied law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
