Summary

James Rhee is a proud West Australian engineer with a deep Korean/Japanese heritage. 

Over two decades, James has been a major project developer in the resource and construction sectors - with particular interest in renewable energy.  His 2010 design and construction of Australia’s first hybrid renewable energy system for a major mine site won national and international awards.  His hybrid design combined solar, wind and battery energy storage to deliver renewable energy for mining operations.

He was one of the founding executives of the joint venture between BGC Australia and POSCO E&C for the “Roy Hill” Iron Ore project (US$5.8Bil) and the Perth Westin Hotel (A$350mil) development.

Combining his passion for sustainability with his project development capability, technical knowledge and strong WA industry relationships, James now leads “Progressive Green Solutions”.  This business is involved in major Renewable Energy generation and storage development for hydrogen-based green iron production in the Mid-West of WA targeted for export to Europe, Japan and Korea.
