Ryan is an experienced executive with demonstrated performance across a range of multidisciplinary roles in Western Australia’s mining industry and public infrastructure sectors. After almost seven years in Fortescue’s Corporate Strategy team including as Senior Manager, Innovation and Technology Development, Ryan was recently appointed Head of Green Metal Integration. His key responsibilities include coordination of outcomes across technical, project and finance workstreams, whilst working with potential partners, customers and government stakeholders. By drawing on his commercial and technical background and deep business lifecycle understanding, he is well positioned to lead the complex coordination effort required to bring Fortescue’s pioneering Green Metal vision to reality. 

Since joining Fortescue in 2013, Ryan has worked extensively across green metal, corporate strategy and planning functions. He is passionate about the practical use of new technology to achieve commercial, environmentally sustainable outcomes. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys surfing, playing guitar and spending time with family. Ryan has a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (University of Western Australia) and a Masters of Business Administration (University of Western Australia).
